Founded in 1946 as Midland Die & Tool Company Limited, the business grew out of Britain’s post‑war engineering landscape and remained in Birmingham for decades, reflecting the region’s role as the country’s industrial centre. The company relocated to Cornwall in 2018, continuing the same lineage and operational clarity that has defined it since 1946.

Today, Bearwood supplies engineering products and spares to customers around the world. Our work supports mining operations, heavy engineering, oil and gas, construction, agriculture and utilities. We arrange all necessary export packing, documentation and freight by land, sea and air, with insurance generally included within our freight charges for simplicity and peace of mind.

We are specialists in sourcing components for older and legacy machinery — equipment often considered obsolete or unsupported. This capability allows clients to maintain existing plant, extend operational life and avoid disproportionate replacement costs.
